We left La Paz November 15th, sailing north to explore the islands for a few more weeks. In December the water starts to get cooler so we head back down to the warm waters of the mainland for the rest of the winter cruising months. Paula flew down to join us for a couple of weeks. We picked her up in Cabo and did a last Costco run. We really enjoyed sharing the beautiful Sea with her. She flew home from Loreto International airport. Other than Cabo the only airport on the Baja with direct flights to the states. Loreto is a good place to fly in and out of. Jill and I then slowly make our way back down the coast of Baja to Bahia Muertos to wait for a weather window for the crossing to the mainland.

DECEMBER 2021
The first week of December 2021 we get the weather window and make the crossing to Bandaras Bay. We anchored in Chacala for a few days before heading to Bandaras Bay to make repairs and provision for the sail south. Dylan made a surprise visit to spend Christmas with us. We sailed back to Chacala to hang out in the small village rather than Puerto Vallarta with Dylan. He flew home December 30. We had a quiet New Years Eve in the La Cruz anchorage. We need to go into a marina to replace the turbo but the marinas are so full this year we had to wait 10 days to get a slip.

JANUARY 2022

We spent most of the month of January in a slip in Paradise Marina. The turbo blew a seal and we had to send it to Guadalahara for a rebuild. We took advantage of the good shopping available in Puerto Vallarta and provisioned for the sail south. We both tested positive for Covid while there. We experienced medium to mild symptoms. Quaranteened for 10 days on the boat, Finally leaving to go south on February 2nd.

Thanks again for posting your adventures. Certainly living vicariously thru your yachting
